the day i met Tony Hawk

so a while ago this summer i met Tony Hawk and the day i met him i was in line at the sports check at 7 in the m orning untill 1:15 and once i finally got inside and got my number i had to wait in another line for about half an hour. when me and my buddies that i met there got in to the basement to the smaller line that Tony was at we got our stuff we wanted signed ready, my bros helped me up to him and i was like Tony? he was like yeah im like im not sure if you know me or not im brett devloo or the blind kid. he was like oh your that blind guy that can land laser flips right?! im like jaw dropped oh uh aha yeah in slight shock then we talked for a few seconds i got a picture with him and he signed a shirt that i have with some signatures that when i get more i am gonna auction it off for my foundation and i also gave him a shirt then after all that i went out the parking lot and skated around with my cane before the big demo with a big half pipe that is like taller than a 1 story house and somebody started skating with me and stopped me saying he loves what im doing how i keep skating and he gave me a free hat and shirt confused at this point he was like im corbin you stay with these two girls im like haha uh ok :P a couple seconds later i heard his voice on the huge speakers that could be heard from blocks away, he said " hey everyone im corbin you know me from the x games im a proffesional skate and i announce with Tony Hawk , theres this blind boy in the parking lot hes skate boarding hes groovy man!" then the girls were like lets go into vip from there i called my buddies in they were like what wow i said you should have stuck with me where were you they were in the back i was like well your welcome you are now 5 feet away :P

Meghan Rivers

so i got the opprotunity to talk to this very strong girl meghan rivers who unfortunately lost her vision a year ago due to an accident. it was very interesting to talk with her and know i could help even a little, she lives out in bc and it is really cool to know how she heard of me . her cousin recieved a shirt of mine from a friend here in manitoba and told m.r. about me.

busy busy

sorry for not blogging in a while i graduated on saturday and was up untill 3 and just very busy and i am going to country fest so i will make a very long blog and full of detail probably next weekend because iwill be very busy untill then

were you rolling when i ate concrete ?

so i had an interview with shaw tv and it went great they shot me skating alot and they had some really good questions like she asked me if i knew how unique my personality and attitude is and i was like uh nope its just me:) they got me skating with my cane down the sidewalk and i told them that my buddy usuallygets interviewed with me and they were like can you call him so he answered some questions and they also shot us walking down the sidewalk just chatting about whatever.
while skating for them i took a nasty fall while mid air i was jumping the bank of the pyramid and lostfooting and tried to get back on the board and tripped myself with my board and i landed a bit away from the ramp on my hip my shoulder my elbow and my knee and ankle but only walked away with some road rash and kept skating first thing i did was look at the camera man and he said in a thank god voice "we didnt get that dont worry " i was like oh my god are you serious tha twould have been epic if you got that lol then i did a handstand for the camera then the interviewer was like i cant watch then she did watch and was like can do that again i need a picture lol im like yeah sure i guess:P
then i also hung out with an old friend and met someone she has told about me :)

successful skate or what

i went for a long skate today and i landed the ollie over the bank of the pyramid at the skateppark a few times and i also landed a backside boardslide, and i went up the quarter pipe and turned around went up the pyramid and landed a varial heelflip at the top and rode down.
today i also went and got some dress shoes for grad on saturday.

i went for a 3 mile walk today with a friend from my house in the country to town just for a slurpee and i think someone knew who i was because instead of waving they honked at me i think its funny when i am walking with people and they tell someone just waved at me like i cant see you :P it must really trip them out when i wave back

this weekend i went to notre dame and hung out with my cousin andmet some new friends. there was this guy that didnt believe that iwas blind when i told him and he overheard me using a pickup line the last social i was at when i said hey im blind want to make out lol and he thought it was just a sick pick up line and thought of using it :P then he met me on saturday and was just making fun and teasing me like one of the bros and then he actually realized that i am blind and he felt so bad for making fun like it had nothing to do with my vision and i told him its cool man it makes me feel like im normal and not getting special treatment. while at his house i had to go inside and change i went in alone and made my way upsstairs and into a room i had no idea what kind of room it was and i took alot of turns to get ito it and then on the way out i got lost in the house and went out the front door which is not the door i came in and started yelling MARCO and then i hear POLO from far bac so i made my way out and around to the backyard and someone got my shoes from the back door:P
then later that day a couple of the guys said who wants to go golfing and isad well yeah and 2 other guys went to the course i golfed all 9 holes and we played best ball and we actually used my ball a few times and i also got 2 putts in all they did was line me up and i would swing i also drove the golf cart the majority of the time i got it in the water onece and had to golf 6 holes with a wet foot:P and we were good the rest of the game and then we went to a social and a bunch of old friends i havent seen or talked to in a long time were thee
