blind track ?

i started my english language arts exam today it takes 4 days. if you are wondering how i do exams i have a scribe wich means i have someone who will read what the exam says and write what i say. the topic for the exam is justice .
today while at the restraunt mongos my mom thought she was being funny by leaving and saying "hey brett, watch my purse... hahaha" and she was it was hilarious.
it was track meet today at my school and while walking around with my friend i said i should try out for some events, like javelin or shot put all they would have to do is point me in the right direction:P or long jump i just have to run and then last second someone yell ok jump now.:)

legos...

so this weekend i went down to notre dame and went to a social with my friend richie and it was an outside social so there were people everywhere and random picnic tables everywhere. with it being so packed i ran into alot of people i even bonked heads with some girls faces and some guys shoulders, but other than that richie helped me out awesomely.
richie is hilarious when it comes to my blindness because he knows i am good with jokes and love them, him an i were sitting in his basement and he was about to go for a shower but before he left he turned around and said "Wait don't move anywhere there are legos everywhere!!"i laughed for about twenty minutes.(if you dont get the joke it is because it is terrible to step on legos when you can see so you could imagine if you didnt see them coming and they were everywhere)
another time richie and i were at a party and some guys outside were talking to richie and said hey whos that douche bag with his sunglasses inside because i dont look blind and i dont use my cane in situations like that, then richie told them im blind so they felt really bad until they found out i love jokes and then they said we sould dress me up in some hot pink skinny jeans and a hot pink shirt and write on the shirt tell him he looks good and send him off to a party i thought that was hilarious.
and just so you know richie doesn't mean any of the jokes in a rude way they are all in good nature because i think they are funny too.

helping hand

so yestarday i went to a friends house and we watched and i listened to a movie i havent seen before and it had adam sandler in it but they said he looked different than he usually does so it was wierd not knowing what he looks like because i am used to him looking one way so i visualize him one way.
this morning i went to the school for a drama performance and all i did was help set up but it felt good because people were actually asking for my help and i actually could help.

lookin spiffy, i think... :P

today i picked up my suit for grad and it is a black suit and a teal dress suit and a white tie and belt and black ray bans.it is wierd not being able to know what color exactly you are wearing when it is something important like this especially when i have an image of what i want in my head.
so today when iwas walking to the bus it was raining pretty good wich made it really hard to see on top of being blind because it is already really blurry and then add rain on my sunglasses.

a walk with a friend

so today i went skateboarding in town during my spare, i went by a store on the sidewalk out front and got some speen ollied up and manualled the sidewalk and landed it on the other side.
i also went for a walk with a friend today who is aspiring to be a photographer and she took her camera with us on the walk and would randomly position me and say stay right there and take a picture, it was really cool.

chicks dig scars

hey so i made a sticker that says the blind kid on it in brail and i put on the back of my phone, so now on my phone i have my logo and i have the blind kid in brail. while at the pits yestarday for senior skip day after i showed a couple of people it more and more kept asking to see it or well feel it.
so for an update on my skate boarding i can now land laser flips fakie laser flips and sometimes tre flips, while handstanding i can ollie with my hands. on a side note on that topic around the beginning of this season i was doing a handstand and my left wrist gave out and i hit my face on the ground cutting up my chin, then with this battle wound i went to a social with a band aid on my face, and this girl ripped it off my face and said "chicks dig scars".
back to skateboarding i have a photoshoot with pancakes and skateboards soon and one with the winnipeg free press.

Christmas/Past

Hey everybody sorry for the not blogging in a while. But Merry Christmas and happy new year.
so Christmas was a new experience for me this year because i had lost a lot more vision than last year. For example my parents gave me a country fest ticket but instead of just giving me a piece of paper because i cant read it they gave me hints on what i got like sunscreen and a water jug and when i still didn't get it they played a song from one of the performers there and then i got it, they still wrapped all of my presents for sentimental value.
i met Phoebe Dyekstra a couple of weeks ago she drove me home from school and then bought a shirt.
In the past 2 months i have had a couple of videos go out one of which will air on national tv this month.
i spoke at a school in Teulon for the entire school about myself :P with a group of people it went very well.
